Mark 16:15 “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature”.
It seems Evangelism has become too difficult in the minds of many Christians and too religious in the minds of everyone else. They describe our mission as if it requires a professional presentation and an educational degree to share the love of Jesus with someone. But through my personal experience, all anyone needs to be a witness for Jesus is natural, real, living faith and genuine concern for other people.
It was more than 10 years ago, when God gave me the wisdom to start Evangelism and share His goodness and faithfulness to others. I was motivated to start doing it because of what Jesus did to my life. And with all that, a relationship of love with Jesus started to grow. It was very hard at first, but I always believed, that in order for our Evangelism to be effective, we should minister always in the presence of God’s love. It must be centered around our relationship of love with Jesus Christ. It must be within the guidelines of the Scriptures and our partnership with the power of the Holy Spirit. When I started witnessing to people, I have learned how to strengthen the weak, bind up the broken hearted and bring back those who are scattered and lost.
Because of the passion and compassion for the lost that God has planted into my heart, LRC-AUH or Lifeharvest Restoration Church was born. Without any personal agenda, the Lord used me to win more souls for Him through evangelism. I have realized that if we are willing to do it, God is more than willing to equip us. For me, winning and discipling souls became an experience that was totally amazing and rewarding. Especially when you start to see them in church doing praise and worship, and notice that they are slowly becoming matured in their Christian life and growing in their faith with our Lord Jesus Christ. It was always a great and fulfilling experience for me to know that God has made me an instrument for these brethren to be saved.
I’ve learned that “Witnessing is simply taking the initiative to share Christ through the Power of the Holy Spirit and leaving the results to God”. But one should have the heart’s desire, the availability to do it and most specially the compassion of Jesus Christ for us to become great fishers of men. We know from the scriptures that “Faith without works is dead”. So we undoubtedly must exercise that faith within us. Reaching people with the love of Jesus is more walk than talk. If we are going to be the salt and light of the world, we must be willing to come out of our comfort zones and witness to the unbelievers, and let them see the light of Jesus Christ shining through each and everyone of us.
